We started Camp Genius because a lack of access to technology shouldn't decide a kid's future — or an adult's career. Here's our story so far.
Camp Genius exists to make summer enrichment and STEM education — plus workforce technology training — accessible and affordable for every family in rural South Carolina and Georgia — no matter their zip code or budget. We bring hands-on coding, AI, and digital creation programs directly into the communities that need them most.
Every step of our path has been guided by one question: what do these communities actually need?
A community survey across our service area identified "lack of access to technology" as the number one barrier facing local families — and the starting point for everything we built next.
Camp Genius was built around one core promise: high-quality STEM and career-readiness programming at a price every family can reach, with sibling and returning-camper discounts built in from day one.
Rather than asking families to travel far, we host Summer Camps and Adult Workshops right at Camp Genius, 155 Lee Street, Johnston, SC 29832 — and for schools, we bring Teacher PD directly to your site.
What began as a summer academy idea grew into a full year-round platform — Adult Workshops for career skills and Teacher PD for classroom impact.
Summer 2027 is just the next stop on the road. Register during our Founding Families Early Bird window (Feb 1–28, 2027) to be among the first families to experience Camp Genius.
Affordable pricing, local locations, sibling discounts — no family left out.
Kids and adults learn by building real projects, not just watching slides.
Every program is shaped by the towns we serve and built where families already are.
AI, coding, and digital skills that prepare students and adults for real careers.

My daughter came home every day talking about what she built. This was the first camp we could actually afford — and it didn't feel like a "budget" version of anything.
